Adventure Travel Nursery Decor

We found out our second baby is going to be a boy! If it was a girl I was going to keep the same nursery that we had for Soleil, but now I need to think of an entirely new room. (Click here to see Soleil’s new boho tribal themed girl’s room!). I looked for inspiration on Pinterest and found a piece that I wanted to base my nursery around. The National Geographic wall map (#1) seems to be the perfect decoration that will make it obvious as to the room’s theme. I am going to use the crib, rocking chair and changing table from Soleil’s nursery (since she probably wont need it anymore). I am thinking of painting the wall with a map a blue color as an accent wall and keep the rest of the walls a light grey or beige color.  The hope is for these accents inspire all of us to get out and adventure more! (Disclosure: Some of the links below are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.)

  1. World Executive Wall Map This will be the centerpiece of the room. I am planning on having the rest of the room accent it.
  2. Plane mobile I think this is fitting for the adventure theme. You have got to get around the world somehow!!
  3. Patent Posters These adventure related drawings of patents for things like a compass, airplane and hot air balloon will tie together the adventure theme.
  4. Map Crib Sheet Here is a crib sheet from Target matches the wall art! A full world map on the crib sheet is perfect for the room.
  5. Wall compass The perfect wall compass to compliment the exploration and map theme
  6. Accent pillow A personalized pillow will look great on the beige rocking chair I have. The pop of blue will bring out the wall as well.
  7. Custom Globe This globe is so cute and the perfect blue and gold colors for the room. It also has the personalization option, which adds a special touch for your new munchkin.
  8. Vintage Airplane Storage Bin To match the airplane mobile and keep all of the toys in their place so the room doesn’t look so messy. The storage cubes were perfect in Soleil’s nursery so I want to use them again.
  9. Wood Letter This would be another personal touch to add to the room for hanging in the room. It goes well with the map on the main wall.
  10. Rug This tan colored rug will not take your eyes away from the main attraction of the room… the giant map! It is a perfect neutral color and just enough to tie the room together.
